Modern Build Home

Kitchens and Bathrooms

Early in the pandemic, the kitchen and bath business was able to prosper, posting historic levels of growth as homeowners gained greater home equity and were ready to upgrade as they spent more time in their homes. However, ongoing challenges are beginning to catch up with the sector, as members rated the industry’s health nearly 4% lower in Q3 than in Q2, as consumers, who were willing to risk project delays and rising material costs early in the pandemic, are now more inclined to wait until 2022 in the hopes that prices will stabilise. As a result, respondents had a more cautious assessment on present and future business conditions – down 6% and 3%, respectively.
